  • What home improvement adds the most value to my property?

Although the effects of upgrades on property values can be quite variable, generally you can count on the following remodels to add significantly to the value of your home.

    • Increases in the square footage of your home through additions
    • Open floor plans
    • Exterior renovations that increase eye appeal
    • Complete kitchen remodels with high-end materials and open layouts
    • New kitchen fixtures, cabinets, and countertops
    • Installation of energy-efficient appliances
    • Bathroom remodels with new fixtures and up-to-date styles

  • When is the best time to start my renovation?

Whatever works best for your schedule and your budget. Keep in mind that a renovation project will disrupt your day-to-day life, so plan accordingly. Exterior work will need to be done when the weather is most likely to cooperate. Interior remodels, like kitchen and bath makeovers, can be done any time of year.

  • How much should I budget for home remodeling?

Your budget will entail many variable factors.

    • Type of project
    • Scope of project
    • Material costs
    • Your expectations

You may want to start with a design-build contractor who will help you determine costs and priorities and then create a detailed budget for each part of the project. We’ll happily answer any questions you have regarding costs during our construction process.

  • What is included in my remodeling estimate?

Your free estimate will include detailed information covering what we’re going to do. If you request it, we can provide renderings that will help you visualize the finished work.

  • Will there be a big mess during our project?

Yes. Long before it’s beautiful, your construction project will be a dusty mess. We will do our best to control the situation by using clean tarps and by cleaning up our work areas and traffic lanes every day.

  • What do I need to do to prepare for my floor refinishing?

Number one – remove everything you can from the area! Please keep in mind that floor refinishing entails repeated sandings. We know from experience that the dust gets everywhere, including inside of closed cabinets and closets. Be prepared for the extensive cleanup that will follow.

  • What type of return on investment can I expect from refinishing my floor if I sell my home?

According to most real estate professionals and the National Wood Flooring Association, wood floors are the best at holding their value and attracting buyers willing to pay a higher price for properties.
